I know, I know I havn't blogged in a while. I have been reading others though. I just can't seem to get into it. There are some very creative people out there and is is so much more fun to read theirs. I will try to do better but I won't promise. In the mean time. Just another day
Havn't blogged in awhile. I read blogs every day but I guess I am just too lazy or have nothing to blog about.
There are so many interesting people out there. I love to read about things going on in others lives. There are happy things, sad things and a lot of heartache. I visit several sites where people are asking for prayer for themselves or someone in their families. A mother, who lost her 11 month old child one month agohttp://themcclenahans.blogspot.com/. A wife asking for prayer for her husband, he has a brain tumorhttp://prayersformyhusband.blogspot.com/. Another wife, her husband passed away a couple weeks agohttp://www.mckayfamilylife.blogspot.com/. Each and every one of these really pull at my heart and depress me. But I feel that these people really need to be lifted up to the Lord for help and guidance. I am glad that I can read these blogs and offer a prayer to God on their behalf.
I have a really great life, not a lot going on. My husband is the most wonderful man in the world. My daughter is very precious to me. My in-laws couldn't be any better. My husband and I both have good jobs. (In this tough economy that is a good feeling) I feel really lucky at this point in my life. Of course everything is not so peachy. My mother passed away 4 years ago this April. My dad, well I don't know what to say about him. After she died, he went wild. Got arrested for DUI, lost his job. He now has no income and lives with his mother. I do keep in touch with him, just not sure how to help. He is one of those people that can't be helped no matter what.
I try to be a good person. I am over weight and find it really hard trying to lose weight. I lack motivation and will power. Sometimes I give it a really good try, the downside to that is I LOVE TO EAT!!!! It's like I live for food. I can be eating one meal and thinking about what I want to eat at my next meal. It's an obsession I guess.

Lost...and found
Our dog "aka Puppy" has been missing since last Wednesday. He is an outside dog and wonders, but usually stays pretty close to home. We didn't really notice he was gone until Saturday, just figured he was in the woods. We went looking for him but to no avail, nothing. Haley was pretty upset. Sunday, Haley decided to make Lost posters to place at the 2 local stores . (Yes I said 2, very small community) After school on Monday her Papaw took her to the stores to place the signs and went out to look for him. Nobody had seen him. When Kevin and I got home we ate supper at his parents house and went home. We had a message on the machine. It was one of Haleys classmates mothers, she thought she had saw Puppy, but wasn't sure, she told us where she had seen him. So we set out to find him. We took the truck, because Puppy knows the sound of the truck and would surely hear us. We went right to where she had seen him and hollered. We were driving up someones driveway, going to ask if they had seen him and here he comes flying. He had heard the truck. Kevin stopped, Haley jumped out and they reunited. Haley was happy to see him but I think he was happier. He was 4 1/2 miles from home! We spoke with the person who lives there and she said that he had been there for 2 days and that she had tried to feed him but he would just run away from her. I think he was living in her barn. We took him home, fed and petted him and put him to bed on the porch. He seemed very happy to be home. Haley was happy and rested much better last night. What is the old tale about dogs never getting lost? Oh, well, guess thats no so true. So he was found and all is well.

Where o Where
Where did the warm weather go. I am so looking forward to Spring/Summer time. I guess I am looking forward to flip-flops and fresh air. Cold weather is so hard. It's hard picking out clothes, it's hard trying to find something to eat, it just SUCKS!! There I said it!! I need to migrate south for the cold months.
I have really go to get into shape. I am so miserable. I hate mirrors, they are not my friends. I use to be so active and had so much energy. Where did it all go. I have tried several diets in the past. I have tried taking Phentermine, yes it does work, but that is a whole other story. I have tried to eat better. I guess I havn't really tried exercising, havn't had the energy. I read about the Couch to 5k program and it sounds like something I could do. If I can only round up the energy. I have been told that if I make myself exercise that the energy will follow. I have started taking 500 mcg B-12 sublingual tablets (for energy) this past Monday, so far I can't really tell a difference. Some have said it could take 2 weeeks for them to take effect. We'll see.
I am miserable though, and need to lose a good 25 pounds. I know I would feel better and definately look better.
I have been in the mood to shop lately. I went this past Monday night with the "girls" to Kohl's, I love this store. I found Haley a few things and found myself a T-shirt. They have so many cute clothes that I was so temepted to get but they are not so cute when I try them on. I guess it's just me. My weight issue is something that bears on my mind a whole lot. I guess sitting at a desk for 8.5 hours everyday does nothing for me. I have started a desk exercise program that I found on YouTube, here is the website, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKCPcRcJmqc&feature=related I can definately feel it. I know it's not much, but it is better than what I have been doing NOTHING.
So we are planning a trip to Cancun this summer. We have been there before, this will make our 6th trip. We love it. There is nothing like an All Inclusive Vacation in Mexico. In the past we have went for a 7 night stay. This year I think we are going to stay 14 nights. I know, that sounds like a along time. But, it will be soooooo relaxing. I will post more about this later on.
Well I better get back to work, it's lunch time.

Uneventful
That was my weekend. On Saturday, Me and Haley did some shopping. We visited my dad and came home. We went to church yesterday morning, came home and rested the rest of the day. Kevin got a craving for something sweet, so I searched recipes and decided on a Coconut Cake. It was yummy!!
Haley spent most of Sunday online and on the phone at the same time with her friend Alicia. They love to play Pixie Hollow. Kevin and I watched episodes of Ghost Hunters most of the day.
We had a good weekend.
Kevin is leaving this afternoon for Winston-Salem. He has Commisioners training. He won't be back until Thursday. We'll miss him ;=( . Haley is looking forward to sleeping with me. She is a wiggle worm though. I love her and cherish these times with her. I know that before long she is gonna be grown and not be interested in that kinda thing with her mommy.
I gotta work all week. I get to leave early tomorrow though, dentist appointment. I am going to pick Haley up from school and take her with me. Afterwards we are going to get her hair cut and out to eat.
I'm thinking about a taking excursion this weekend. I'll check into maybe tomorrow. More on that later in the week. Anyhow, gotta work for now.

Elvira, my heart is on fire!
Wow, my last posts says "Friday At Last" and here it is Thursday of the following week. Well, I had my hairs done on Saturday, what an adventure that was. I wanted my highlights taken out and back to my natural color. Well Pat, my hairdresser, says that is what she did, well I left outta there looking like Elvira, you remember Elvira, right? Anyhow my hair was dark, dark, dark. I was not happy. I went straight home and washed my hair like 30 times. I washed my hair in Pert, Head and Shoulders, Pantene and a baking soda mixture. Nothing, I mean nothing brought any of that color out. So I called first thing Sunday morning, lo and behold Pat was off, so I made an appointment with her for 1st thing Monday morning for a re-do.
When I got up Sunday morning I did not go to church, I did not feel comfortable going looking like a Goth. Kevin told everyone I was having a bad hair day. I'd say..... Anyhow, after church we had to go to the grocery store, I didn't go yesterday since my hairs were black and all, so we headed out to town. We went to our cousins for the game. Pretty exciting game.
Well turns out I was out of work all day Monday. Had my Dr appointment and hair appointment. It took her 3 hours to get my hair fixed. She added back some auburn/carmel highlights. I really like it though.
It has snowed the rest of the week. Haley did get a full day in on Monday, but the rest of the week they have been out of school. School won't get out until June 4th as of right now. I hate it for them, they won't get much of a summer vacation. It has finally quit snowing. The sun is out but it is still cold (11). It's suppose to warm up though, 60 for Saturday. I am so ready for Springtime.
Anyhow, I guess it's all good. Tomorrow is Friday again. I have really clean hair and it's warming up.

Friday at last!
Finally it's Friday, I felt as if this day would never come. This has been a long busy week for me. It has been non-stop. I didn't take off from work any this whole week. You'd be proud of me, not even one leave slip did I fill out. Haley has not missed any school due to weather. So we have had a full week. Kevin was in meetings all week long. Now finally it is Friday and we can all be together.
In the morning I have an appointment to get my hair done. Not sure what I am going to do yet, but I am going to make an effort to go. I have to go to the Dr. on Monday morning for blood work. (Darn it, there is a leave slip I must fill out for.) Oh well, it couldn't last forever. I guess the rest of the weekend will consist of eating, sleeping, church and watching the game on Sunday
Just so you know, I don't get on the computer at home, my home time is all mine. I will not be posting through the weekends. I guess I am lucky that I have an office with a door and privacy. I take time each day to catch up on my blog readings. I read some really interesting and fun blogs. I hope to share them with you in the future. I also read several CaringBridge sites that I have been lead to over the years. Some of the children I know or know of, others are complete strangers. No matter who they are, Childhood Cancer is a serious issue that needs to be dealt with among legislators at all levels. They need more funding!!
I am going to start a new journey next week. Something that will hopefully make me more accountable. I am going to need some support and lots of determination. So look for it starting in February. I'm gonna sign off for now. Have a great weekend and hug and kiss your little ones, OK your man too....

My first Blog post!
This is my first blog posting and I really don't know what to blog about. I have been reading Blogs daily now for quite some time. I find them very intersting. People are so different, yet we are the same. We come from all parts of the world and all seem to carry on our daily lives pretty much the same. Sure we are thrown for loops with illnesses, death and other unfortunate circumstances, but life goes on. Sometimes lie is grand other times it seems to get out of control.
As for myself, my life seems pretty routine. Get up, go to work. Come home, cook, clean a little, sometime ALOT. Take shower, watch a little TV, Go to bed. Depending on the time of year this is pretty much it. The fall is much busier. Soccer games, basketball games and practices keep me going all the time. I lvoe it though, I would rather stay busy, it is what keeps me going.
I hate to make this post short, but it is time to go home. I'll try to make this a conscience effort to update and post on a regular basis.
